VEGAS Pro bundles a few basic HitFilm Plug-Ins, like 5 or so: SECONDARY COMPUTER (often used as rendering maching)ĭrive (for storage): Westen Digital Black 6 TB (likely an "old" one)ĭrive (for performance): Samsung 850 Pro 512 GBĮxtra drives (for archives) : 4x SATA "cold" swipe slot Ignite Pro (full plug-in suite), NeatVideo 10 years old)Įxtra soundcard (usually off): M-Audio Air 192|14Ĭurrent version of Vegas Pro : 19.0 (Build 458) Third monitor: Old Sony TV (Full HD) (approx. Secondary monitor: BenQ (UHD 4K) monitor that was supposed to have accurate colours, but after they replaced it twice, it looks like a different series and colours aren't that good. Monitor used as colour reference: Asus ProArt PA329 (UHD 4K) GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 Ti - Drivers on : "Studio Drivers" 30., ĭrive (for OS) : Samsung 980 Pro nVME 2 TBĭrives (for performance) : Samsung 980 Pro nVME 2 TB + Samsung 970 Pro nVME 1 TBĭrive (for storage) : Western Digital Gold 12 TBĮxtra drives (for archives) : 4x SATA "cold" swipe slots My question now is: were these plug-ins discontinued? Are they part of another Hitfilm product? (I don't really understand what plug-in you get for buiying Hitfilm Express/Pro/Studio or if Ignite is now the plug-ins and Hitfilm is other piece of software.Īnd If they were discontinued, were they replaced by other plug-ins? (Mainly Color Temperatures, but the other too)Īnd if I buy a more complete and more recent Hitfilm package, will I get updated versions? And will they be compatible with my former projects? and some used more occasionally ("Hitfilm Hue Shift", "Hitfilm Treshold".

Some of these are plug-ins I used a lot, mostly "Hitfilm Color Temperature", "Hitfilm Bleach Bypass", "Hitfilm Cine Style". I'm assuming that the plug-ins that remain prefixed Hitfilm are not part of Ignite (/anymore) I couldn't now truely test it the other way around, installing Ingite Pro on top of Hitfilm 3 because after uninstalling both and re-installing only Hitfilm 3, I still had the Ignite plug-ins prefixed "Ignite". If I install Hitfilm 3 on top of Ignite Pro plug-ins, some plug-ins are prefixed Hitfilm, others are prefixed Ignite. So I search for the most advanced version of "(non-ignite) Hitfilm plug-ins" that I seem to have license for and it's "Hitfilm 3" Now installing a new computer, if I install Ignite Pro plug-ins, my projects crash with hundreds of error messages that I need to click. I don't remember when things changed exactly but not Vegas Pro 16 suite comes with Ignite Pro plug-ins (which looks like a branch from Hitfilm products). I think that the most advanced license for Hitfilm was for Hitfilm 3 with Vegas Pro 13 suite.

And I must say I neglected keeping up to date with these as long as my projects worked. I started using HitFilm plug-ins in most of my projects when they came with a former Vegas Pro suite.
